Overview

Design details

This unidentified energy sword is one of the many energy sword variants manufactured by the Covenant. It is characterized by a widened gap between the two blades above its hilt.[1][3] The exact mechanism by which the energy sword functions was still under investigation by United Nations Space Command in 2552.[5]

Within the Covenant, this energy sword is a weapon typically carried by high-ranking Sangheili, like Sangheili Ultras, Sangheili Generals and Sangheili Zealots.[3] Bloodblade of this variant were employed by the Silent Shadow.[7][8] Following the Human-Covenant War and the dissolution of the Covenant, this energy sword was inherited by its splinter factions, including the Sword of Sanghelios,[9][4] Jul 'Mdama's Covenant,[4] and Servants of the Abiding Truth.[10]

  • Bloodblade - As with many other patterns of energy swords, this energy sword pattern can be customized as a bloodblade, with red-colored plasma.[7][8]
