This unidentified energy sword pattern (UNSC Type classification: Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword, T-1 EW/S),[5] more commonly known as the energy sword, is a Covenant melee weapon manufactured by the Merchants of Qikost.[1]
Overview
Design details

This unidentified energy sword is one of the many energy sword variants manufactured by the Covenant. It is characterized by a widened gap between the two blades above its hilt.[1][3] The exact mechanism by which the energy sword functions was still under investigation by United Nations Space Command in 2552.[5]
Usage
Within the Covenant, this energy sword is a weapon typically carried by high-ranking Sangheili, like Sangheili Ultras, Sangheili Generals and Sangheili Zealots.[3] Bloodblade of this variant were employed by the Silent Shadow.[6][7]
Variants
- Bloodblade - As with many other patterns of energy swords, this energy sword pattern can be customized as a bloodblade, with red-colored plasma.[6][7]

Gameplay

This energy sword pattern is featured in Halo: Reach. The energy sword is a powerful melee weapon in close-quarters combat, capable of killing most foes with a single strike. It is a power weapon that appears on some multiplayer maps.
