Ankara is a city located in Mare Imbrium on Luna. Imbrium Machine Complex, a human ordnance and material manufacturer, is based out of the city.[1] The corporation's Anakara Resiliency Chamber in Ankara was the test site of the Defender, Enforcer, Raider, and Pathfinder variants of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. The "Bosque de Negro", Luna's infamous Black Forest, is located somewhere in or near Ankara.[2]
During the Battle of Earth, Ankara was attacked by the Covenant along with many other locations in the Sol system. Thomas Lasky commandeered and flew a Banshee in the city during the battle.[3][note 1]
