Is there any source for saying that they use a 7.62 NATO? Just wondering.[[User:Coviekiller5|Coviekiller5]] 04:15, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
:I wondered this too, because in the Halo universe, NATO isn't around anymore. It wouldn't make sense to name their rounds after a dead organization. About the name of this article, it should be 7.62x51mm, not 7.62X51. A lowercase "x" stands for "by", so it would be like saying 7.62 by 51mm rounds. Also, mm should be added behind 51 because that shows the unit of measure for the rounds. It is called 7.62x51mm, not 7.62X51.

I wondered this too, because in the Halo universe, NATO isn't around anymore. It wouldn't make sense to name their rounds after a dead organization.
