Ghosts Of Reach is a song included in the Halo 2 Original Soundtrack, Volume 1.
Ghosts Of Reach is the fourth track of the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 1.

It was composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori and is 2 minutes and 22.053 seconds long. The first part of the song is the same as The Maw and Remembrance, and when it passes the point at which Remembrance finishes a completely new tempo is added. It is mainly composed of a chorus, but has some less-noticeable background instruments.
The first part of the music features strings accompanying the vocals from Remembrance, which is a re-orchestration of The Maw (from Halo: Original Soundtrack). The second part features a percussive beat with a high-tempo rendition of Weight Of Failure (from Prologue), which is followed by Cloistered Expectancy (the Halo 2 version of the Halo Theme from Prologue). The percussive beat ends before the Halo Theme sung by the choir ends.

The second part was re-orchestrated into Black Tide from the track Dread Intrusion in the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack. While the first part was re-orchestrated Ghosts of Reach in the Halo Legends: Original Soundtrack as well as Unsullied Memory in the Halo 2: Anniversary Original Soundtrack, the second part featuring percussive beats was not featured in either albums.

It plays during the level Regret, when Spartan-117 is going through the underwater-transportation. The second half of the song is heard in the "A Day At the Beach" chapter of the Halo 2 level Outskirts. Part of this song's melody was later known as the Arbiter theme. The "Day at the Beach" part is remade as "Black Tide" in the track Dread Intrusion on the Halo 3 Original Soundtrack.
The soundtrack can be heard:

*In the level Outskirts, in which the percussion from the second part plays throughout the chapter A Day at the Beach, ending with the choir's part as John-117 enters the highway tunnel.
The song plays in the background of RememberReach.com, a website created by Microsoft to promote Halo: Reach.
*In the level Regret, in which the first part plays when John-117 is taking the underwater elevators.
*In the background of Remember Reach, a website created by Microsoft as a part of the marketing campaign for Halo: Reach, and the accompanying video Creation of the Monument.
