Seeing how it was destroyed in 2530, how can it be in the same system as Reach?

Star Systems are quite large. Who says the Covenant wiped out the whole system? Perhaps it was just a small force, that only managed to destroy a planet, and the Covenant never managed to find it again? Otherwise, though, there seems to be no other stars in the Eridanus constellation close enough to be in UNSC space. -- CoH|Councillor]] Specops306 - Kora 'Morhek 22:02, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay, do you know any other stars in UNSC territory from the Eridanus constellation? --CoH|Councillor]] Specops306 - Kora 'Morhek 21:50, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, because I wrote that bit in the trivia section.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 22:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I'm editing it back to be a part of Epsilon Eridani. Contact Harvest makes it clear that Eridani was the largest point of conflict in the Insurrection, and that "Eridanus" is a nickname - furthermore, the Bestiarum confirms that John's homeworld was in Epsilon Eridani - I should have done this a long time ago. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek 11:30, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

Despite what Beastiarum and Contact Harvest might say, Nylund still clearly intended them to be in separate systems. If Eridanus II was an outer colony glassed in 2530, how could it be in the same system as Reach, an inner colony invaded in 2552? And how did the Ascendant Justice make an inter-system slipspace jump from Epsilon Eridani to Eridanus in First Srike? Or do we just have to ignore the stuff in FoR and FS?--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:34, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind. The point you made on the Ehilend page was enough to make me revert it - in hindsight, a little discussion of the subject would have saved me a lot of time, effort and stress. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek 11:57, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
