Tem'Bhetek was a San'Shyuum Prelate subordinate to the Minister of Preparation, who led a small group of loyal Jiralhanae and Yanme'e following the Human-Covenant War. Surviving High Charity's fall and the destruction of the Covenant, Tem'Bhetek sought revenge against the Sangheili commander Rtas 'Vadum, whom he held responsible for the deaths of his wife and child when High Charity fell to the Flood.[2] Months after the end of the war, the Prelate and the Minister of Preparation attempted to lure 'Vadum into a deadly trap.[3]
