Athens Station, Hull Classification Symbol ODA-144, was a UNSC Orbital Defense Platform in Earth orbit. It was so named because it held station above the city of Athens[1]. It was in the same battle cluster as Cairo Station and Malta Station.
During the First Battle of Earth, Athens was destroyed after Malta and in the same fashion: Covenant boarders placed an Anti-Matter Bomb then withdrew prior to detonation.
After Athens and Malta were destroyed, the Prophet of Regret's assault carrier broke through the orbital defenses to the surface.
