Naxan is a Sangheili male living in the State of Mdama on Sanghelios during the post-Human-Covenant War era.[1]
Biography
Naxan had previously served in the Covenant military. Like many Sangheili, he was disdainful of the Kig-Yar, believing things would turn for the worst if they were given better ships and weapons. Naxan was also a staunch Sangheili traditionalist, believing that a Sangheili warrior who was wounded should not seek out medical help.[2]
During the Human-Covenant War he helped Raia 'Mdama, his grand-niece, maintain the Bekan Keep. He taught the children at the keep basic combat skills and the art of swordsmanship. He taught female children as well as males, something elder Jul ‘Mdama felt was important in order to ensure that the keep could be well-defended in case of an emergency. Naxan was a very strict mentor, rapping his pupils, like young Gmal, on the head with a stick if they made a mistake.
