The Sharquoi is a Covenant owned beast. Near the end of the Human-Covenant War, around the time of the Battle of Earth, a Sangheili expressed to one of his comrades that they may soon deploy the Sharquoi.[1]

The name "Sharquoi" refers to a Drinol, an enemy beast that was cut from Halo 2.[3] Marcus Lehto animated the only existing Sharqoui model back when Halo was planned to be on the PC and Mac.[4]
