If you were to take a look at the Song of the East, it would instantly look like a Halcyon off the back regardless of the minor differences. To me its either 343i being a lil inconsistent (or lazy) or just a classic example of refitting, like Jugus said above. The minor detail changes w/ the Halcyon class is nothing compared to the Dawn - more specifically, the Charon class, where it is 100% different and can be considered an entirely new breed (but was considered a retcon instead). The Halcyon class here looks virtually identical with nothing radically changed aside from minor structural differences and it maintains the same basic shape as the original. Its almost like saying the POA in Reach isn't a Halcyon because of the detail changes. So IMO it should remain classified as a Halcyon. Now all those "new" frigates is what should really be disputed as either being Charon-class or something entirely new.
