The Visegrad Relay[1] was one of the primary communications stations on the human colony world of Reach that kept the planet connected to the rest of UNSC-controlled space. It was situated in the remote region of Visegrad. Just before their eventual invasion of Reach, a vanguard Covenant force sabotaged the relay to prevent the UNSC from calling help. A team of UNSC Army troopers was sent in to investigate, but after contact with them was lost, Noble Team was assigned to the task.[2][3]
