Traxus Factory Complex 09 was a Traxus installation in Voi, Kenya on Earth.
Background
In early 2553 during the Battle of Voi, it came under attack by the Covenant Loyalists, and was defended by a small force of UNSC Marines, but eventually Marine resistance flagged down "to the last man", and Covenant forces captured most of the factory complex.
It was later retaken by UNSC forces with the help of SPARTAN-117[1]. Soon after, the complex became overrun with Flood after a Flood-controlled CCS-class Battlecruiser crash in a nearby lake bed [2].
Later, the Covenant Separatists came in force, chasing after their captured battlecruiser. The Separatist's Sangheilian Fleet, led by Shipmaster Rtas 'Vadum in the Assault Carrier Shadow of Intent reverted from Slipspace above Complex 09, landing a small force of Elites to attempt to repulse the Flood threat on the ground.
Eventually, the threat was judged by Rtas 'Vadum and the Arbiter, who glassed Complex 09 and half of the continent of Africa in an effort to contain the Flood spread [3].
Associates
Other companies, such as Fueder Construction, Sinoviet, and Cobb Industries did work at Complex 09. Some civilians of these companies also helped in the offensive to drive the Covenant Loyalists out of the area.
