Draetheus V[1] was a human colony world.[2] It had one major artificial satellite, designated X50.[1] Sometime between 2553 and 2557, the UNSC discovered the world and established a number of research facilities on the planet and its moon. Subsequently, the reformed Covenant attacked the planet and clashed with the UNSC for the Forerunner relics present there. Two SPARTAN-IVs, Sarah Palmer and Edward Davis, participated in the campaign. During the battle the Covenant remnant activated a Forerunner artifact on X50 which led to the disintegration of Draetheus-V.[3]
