During the [[Battle of Mombasa|Covenant invasion]] of the city of New Mombasa, Quick to Adjust and six other Huragok were dispatched into the tunnels underneath the city, possibly to hack into the city's electronic systems and the [[Superintendent]] [[artificial intelligence]]. However, six other Huragok instead began to free Quick to Adjust from its explosive harness. While the six others were killed, Quick survived and made its way into the [[New Mombasa Data Center|data center]] of the Superintendent, where it began working on repairing the AI. While working with ONI, Quick to Adjust was given the name "Vergil" by Captain Dare because of his absorption of the Superintendent's subroutine. Following the events on Talitsa, Vergil was moved to a secret ONI facility on [[Luna]] where ONI kept several of their other Huragoks. Together, the Huragoks formed a sort of brain trust that worked as consultants on all sorts of projects. Anyone who needed their help would need to book time with them as they would work as supercomputers to work on insanely complex problems. ===Created conflict===
In [[2558]], when the [[Created conflict]] broke out, the ONI facility was heavily damaged by the [[Guardian]]s during the [[Subjugation of Earth]]. Forerunner [[armiger]]s loyal to [[Cortana]] invaded the station and captured the surviving crew, including Sadie, while Vergil and the other Huragok hid out and worked to repair the station's systems. Shortly afterwards, Buck returned to the station seeking out Vergil for help with breaking [[Michael Crespo|Mickey Crespo]] out of prison. Vergil refused to leave until Sadie was rescued which Buck, Romeo and Dare reluctantly carried out.

Following their rescue, Sadie and Vergil joined [[Alpha-Nine]]'s mission. At the [[Spartan-IV training station]], Vergil contended with the rogue AI [[Leonidas]] to help Buck reach Mickey and then to stop Leonidas' attempts to kill Buck. As Leonidas was about to vent the station's atmosphere and kill everyone inside, Vergil managed to knock out power to parts of the station briefly, giving Buck time to remove Leonidas' [[data crystal chip]] and effectively shut the AI down.

On [[Cassidy III]], during a meeting with the local leaders of the [[United Rebel Front]], Dare suggested loaning them Vergil to help figure out the Forerunner technology that cloaked their colony. However, the colony came under attack by a [[Created]] [[Guardian]] summoned by Leonidas. Vergil repaired the colony's ships so that as many people as possible could evacuate and then repaired the team's [[Condor]] when it was damaged by the Guardian so that they could escape. Vergil nearly fell to his death in the process and caused Buck to fall with him, the two holding on to each other as they fell. During the fall, Buck didn't expect to survive but believed that once Vergil got close to the ground and free of Buck, he would be able to float to safety. However, the two were saved by Buck's teammates though Vergil very nearly fell out of the ship again, only to have Buck grab and stabilize him.

As they escaped, Dare admitted that she lied about lending Vergil to the Front as he and Sadie were just too valuable to lend out for basic research. When Buck told Sadie that her father would be proud of her, Vergil reiterated the sentiment, reminding her that her father had programed the part of him that was most human, the part that had helped him to learn to care about her. Vergil told Sadie that he was also very proud of her, causing Sadie to give the Huragok a hug. Shortly afterwards, the team returned to the {{UNSCShip|Infinity}} with Vergil and Sadie.<ref>'''[[Halo: Bad Blood]]'''</ref>

*Like the other Huragok found in the game and in spite of its lack of armor, Quick still has shields to protect itself, and also is able to grant close friendly units shields, including the player (the only instance the player will be given energy shielding in ''ODST''). However, the player has no shield monitor, and if playing on [[Legendary]] difficulty, the shields decrease in strength rapidly.
