| Source caption | Halo Wars was one of the first projects that I worked on at Blur. I believe that this was around late summer 2007. I did two characters, Serina's body and the Flood Infection Form. Serina is this hologram female character. I modeled the body and my friend Sze Chen did the head. The Flood Infection Form is this weird squid/insect alien creature.
The work I did on these characters is somewhat primitive compared to what we do now, but I wanted to include them as a log of my earliest days at the studio. Unfortunately I could not find the original sample still images of these characters. I quickly redid the shaders for VRay and re-rendered them for my site. These were modeled in 3dsmax and I think we rendered with Brazil back then. I believe I used ZBrush for sculpting but back then we didn't use displacement rendering so its all bump and normal maps. |
