{{Quote|Hardlight grenade launcher with a deadly, implosive blast. Can control projectile mid-flight while zoomed in.|Description from the Academy's Weapon Drills menu.{{Ref/Game|HI|Academy - Weapon Drills - Cindershot description}}}}
The Cindershot is a hardlight grenade launcher that serves a similar role to that of the {{Pattern|Tufasumo|plasma caster}}, but its explosion pulls in targets in close proximity. The projectile must ricochet from a surface once before detonating at the next point of impact. The Cindershot has an alt-fire mode that allows the projectile to follow the wielder's direction. The projectiles are capable of killing a Spartan in two direct explosions.
