==History==
B Company was one of four companies present within Major Silva's ODST [[battalion]] when the ''Pillar of Autumn'' arrived at [[Installation 04]] on September 19, 2552. They took part in the [[Battle Over Installation 04|defense]] of the cruiser from [[Covenant]] boarding parties before [[Landing on Installation 04|landing]] on the ringworld via [[SOEIV]]. They organised under Major Silva and were ordered to get in position to directly assault the mesa known as [[Alpha Base (Installation 04)|Alpha Base]] while [[C Company (Pillar of Autumn)|C Company]] inserted via [[D77-TC Pelican]] dropship. McKay would lead B Company on a raid of the downed {{Class|Halcyon|light cruiser}}, intending to retrieve supplies from the ship for Alpha Base. The force was divided into three [[platoon]]s, led by McKay, Second Lieutenant [[Oros]] and Company Sergeant [[Lister (Marine)|Lister]] (standing in for the preoccupied Second Lieutenant [[Dalu]]). The company would strike the Covenant guards at dawn of September 20, and take the ship by storm. [[1st Platoon (Pillar of Autumn)|1st Platoon]] would begin the task of scouring supplies from the ship while [[2nd Platoon (Pillar of Autumn)|2nd Platoon)]] would lock off the remaining compartments to ensure the work would not be disturbed.

For the convoy back from the cruiser, 1st Platoon was assigned as anti-air defense, while [[3rd Platoon (Pillar of Autumn)|3rd Platoon]], under McKay, was designated to eliminate ground targets. Unlike the [[Warthog]] platoons, 2nd Platoon was assigned the four recovered [[M808B Scorpion]] tanks.
