In approximately 110,000 B.C.E., the Human-Forerunner War is fought. Eventually, humanity loses the war and the Forerunners eliminate all traces of humanity's former interstellar civilization. The human survivors are exiled to their homeworld, Earth. Over the course of the next millennia, humanity regresses into a pre-industrial state and eventually devolves into several species, including the Florians.[1]
