- Sheila, a SPARTAN-II, is killed by Thel 'Lodamee in the Battle of Miridem.[1][2] Dr. Catherine Halsey is captured by Covenant forces who attempt to flee the system, prompting the Office of Naval Intelligence to deploy a team of SPARTANs on a rescue mission.[3]
