For skins in other games, see
Skins.
Skins are a component of player customisation present in the multiplayer portion of Halo 2: Anniversary. They were implemented for use within Halo: The Master Chief Collection during the Series 9 update, and work in a similar fashion to the skin systems of Combat Evolved and Halo 3.[1][2]

Trivia
- Internal filenames for the Bloodscorched skins refer to the skin names as Tie Dye, indicating the skins were renamed at some point in development.
- The internal unlock files for Halo: The Master Chief Collection indicate that the initial round of skins included with Series 9 were originally intended for release in the now-cancelled Season 10.[3]
