- "Bassus? Tremonius? BAH. Now you face TRUE Spartan Killers!"
- — Hyperius taunting John-117.
Hyperius was a Jiralhanae Spartan Killer in the service of the Banished and a brother to the fellow warrior Tovarus.[2][3] During the Installation 07 conflict in 2560, he and his brother were killed by Spartan-II John-117.[1]

Hunting the Master Chief
- Main article: Installation 07 conflict
In 2560, Hyperius participated in the Installation 07 conflict, during which he encountered the Spartan-II John-117. Hyperius and Tovarus engaged the Spartan after he had destroyed three Gorespike cannons, with Hyperius mounted on his custom Chopper and Tovarus raining down fire with his Scrap Cannon. They were unsuccessful in killing John-117, and both brothers died at the Spartan's hands.[1]
Personality and traits
Hyperius was seemingly very attached to his brother, a sentiment that Tovarus did not appear to share. Hyperius had amber-colored eyes.[1]
Equipment
Hyperius had the helmet and torso from HUNTER-class Mjolnir armor mounted to one of his pauldrons, alleged to be from from the suit worn by Jameson Locke,[4] by Banished propaganda officer Glibnub.[5] He also wore a necklace composed of what appears to be the fingers of Spartans.[2][3] He rode a custom variant of the Banished Chopper with gold plating and energy blades that activate when the vehicle boosted. He also wielded a Ravager and was equipped with a jump pack.[1]
