Corpsemaker
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
- "Made of the finest materials its creator could coerce or steal from raider lairs on Warial and Teash. Improved Gravity Hammer with swing time and increased lunge range."
- — In-game description[1]
The Corpsemaker is a special Type-2 gravity hammer.[2]
Overview
Design details
The Corpsemaker is a named variant of the T-2 EW/H, upgraded with increased lunge range and faster swinging rate. It uses the T-2 EW/H's model albeit with a change to the hammer's head to decorate it in a red color scheme broken up by yellow and white stripes.[1] The weapon is made of the finest materials that were stolen from raider lairs on Warial and Teash.[1]
Service history
In late 2558, the UNSC Infinity integrated the Corpsemaker into its War Games simulations for use by Spartan-IVs.[2]
Gameplay
Halo 5: Guardians
The Corpsemaker is a Level 4 Rare Power Weapon REQ variant of the Gravity Hammer that grants 100 REQ Points when sold. It operates identically to a normal Gravity Hammer except that it has a faster swinging speed and a longer lunge range. These improvements make the Corpsemaker more powerful when dealing with multiple enemies in close range and can further boost its utility as a weapon for trick jumps, which are done with the player looking down at the ground, jumping, activating Smart-Link to stabilize themselves in the air, and then swinging with the Corpsemaker repeatedly.[2]
Changes from the Type-2 Energy Weapon/Hammer
- Faster swing time.
- Longer lunge range: 9.67 m unscoped and 13.44 m with Smart-Link.
