Sedran Colonial Guard

The Sedran Colonial Guard is a group of Colonial Militia stationed on the remote human Outer Colony of Sedra. They are led by Colonel Randall Aiken. Many individuals serving in the Colonial Guard are noted as being resentful and mistrustful of the UNSC and the Unified Earth Government.[1]
History
At some point after the New Phoenix Incident, the Colonial Guard was forced to ally themselves with an Office of Naval Intelligence unit to stop a Sangheili terrorist group from using a mysterious bioweapon that targeted humans.[2] However, a Sangheili was able to make his way to a mall in a Sedran city and set off the bioweapon. The weapon resulted in the strange infection of numerous civilians, and some deaths. It was eventually discovered that the bioweapon originated from a fragment of the destroyed Installation 04 that had exited slipspace in orbit over a red giant star in a nearby system. Determined to investigate the Halo installation fragment, a team consisting of Sedran Guard and ONI personnel travelled to the fragment to destroy the deposits that were being harvested to create the bioweapon with a HAVOK tactical nuclear weapon.[3] The two organizations were forced to work together in order to accomplish their goals.[4]

Equipment
After the Human-Covenant War, Sedra's economic stability allowed it to supply the Sedran Colonial Guard with relatively modern military hardware. However, this hardware is still inferior to the technology and equipment used by the UNSC Defense Force.[5] The Colonial Guard is unable to afford the more effective and newer equipment provided by the United Nations Space Command. Instead, they are forced to rely on outdated weapons and vehicles, such as the D81-LRT Condor transport.[1][6] The Sedran colonial government maintains a close relationship with the UNSC in regards to military hardware acquisition. This relationship allows the Sedran Colonial Guard to remain relatively well-equipped.[7]
