BiographyEdit

Early life and careerEdit

Vinay Sahil was born and raised in India on Earth. Much of his service record is classified, though it is known that he served as a member of the Unified Earth Government's Diplomatic Corps; he saw extensive long-term deployments to worlds in the Joint Occupation Zone, where he carried out relief missions, repelled pirate and insurgent attacks, and worked to foster interspecies coexistence.[1]

Circa 2555, Sahil began directing operations at ANVIL Station alongside Stationmaster Toda 'Murajai of the Swords of Sanghelios.[2] By March 2560, Sahil had worked with 'Murajai for over five years. During those years, the two had dedicated themselves to building bridges between the human and alien personnel aboard the station. Every decision they made was to demonstrate the power of collaboration, maximizing their impact as allies and turning them all into a well-oiled machine.[2]

On March 3, 2560, ANVIL Station received a distress call from Nysa that necessitated a change in plans, throwing the station into a frenzy as a response was coordinated. With mobilization planned for the following day, Sahil and 'Murajai began selecting the units that embark on the long-range deployment, including the A'uzr-pattern sword frigate Sword of Conjunction, several Riftborn pairs, three Condors, and the station's Amity, Harmony, and Sympathy wings. Meeting within 'Murajai's study, the two expressed concern about the lack of intel on the situation that their warriors would be entering and wondered if they were up to the task. Ultimately, Sahil and 'Murajai agreed that they had prepared their warriors to the best of their ability, and that the brothers and sisters-in-arms would have each others backs, no matter the species of their compatriots. As Sahil left the study, he joking ordered 'Murajai to get some rest and asked about the story of the saga wall that the stationmaster had on display. 'Murajai stated that perhaps they would discuss it—and perhaps even add to it—after this mission was done.[2]
