We should make this an actual page

Operations as small as Spearbreaker and Marsh Flash get their own page. Operation: Blind Faith should get a page too, especially since it was larger and more significant. It covers the battle in the deserts of the Ark in Halo 3 Editorguy (talk) 12:05, February 18, 2020 (EST)

Haha, if you are sure User:TheEld ;-) gonna look at touching up the Battle of Voi page and then could start work on this if needed. Also might trim down the Battle of Installation 00 page a bit and go in to a bit more detail similarly to the engagements in the Battle of Kenya and Battle of the Citadel ArcticGhostXCV (talk) 13:26, February 18, 2020 (EST)

From what I recall there was some confusion as to whether BLIND FAITH referred to a specific event within the battle for the ark or the UNSC operation to the Ark in general, which prevented it from being properly defined. The talk page says Encyclopedia page 57 (2009 version) is the source for the BLIND FAITH name (note - this needs to be added to the page itself) so if someone could find the wording in which the name was given that would be really good for ascertaining as to what specifically BLIND FAITH refers to. Update: This is the wording used in the encyclopedia, describing 11 Marine Force Reconnaissance/ ODST; "This was the ODST unit placed on FFG-201 Forward Unto Dawn specifically to collect intelligence on Covenant and Forerunner forces and material during Operation: BLIND FAITH."

Unfortunately, this usage of BLIND FAITH could easily refer to the entire UNSC designation for their excursion onto the Ark, not specifically the battle in the desert (as an aside, I'm not even technically sure this wording confirms that BLIND FAITH is the Battle of Installation 00 at all). I would recommend a page title such as Battle for the Cartographer (Installation 00) or something to that effect, as I agree the battle is probably deserving of a page.BaconShelf (talk) 13:46, February 18, 2020 (EST)

If they were specifically assigned to the Dawn for BLIND FAITH, that definitively confirms that is the name of the entire mission through the portal. They couldn't have been assigned to the Dawn after it already traveled through, after all.
