- March 3rd, 2553 was the very last day of the Human-Covenant War[1].
- With the Prophet of Truth dead, the Halos deactivated, and the Flood assumed to be entirely destroyed, the Battle of the Ark brought about the end of the Human-Covenant War in 2552 the previous year, formalized in 2553.
- A monument is erected in the Kenyan Savannah in remembrance of those who gave their lives in the war including SPARTAN-117 who is labeled MIA. Thel 'Vadam and his surviving brethren departed Earth for their homeworld, Sanghelios.
- March 5th, 2553 The UNSC starts rebuilding their colonies and population.
