- Jake Courage begins his career as a photo journalist on Reach.[2]
- Commander Dmitri Zheng rams his frigate into a Covenant destroyer. He avoids court-martial because the disabled destroyer is subsequently destroyed by MAC fire. Whilst he is away, his home world is glassed.[3]
- SPARTAN Soren-066 is assigned to a supposedly temporary desk job on Reach. While stationed at this job, he meets Partch, an insurrectionist who eventually changes Soren's allegiance.[4]
- March 20: Benjamin M. Nunez is born on Mars.[5]
