Overview

Design details

Main article: Posu'gelka-pattern needler

The Pinpoint Needler is a modified variant of the standard Posu'gelka-pattern needler. In addition to having a white chassis instead of the standard purple coloration, it features an expanded magazine of 30 shards and an advanced target acquisition ability. The shards fired from the Pinpoint Needler also have a lower "supercombine" requirement.[3]

Usage

One such weapon was used by Writh Kul, a Kig-Yar Skirmisher in the Banished during the campaign on Installation 07 in 2559-2560.[4] During the campaign, she used the weapon in a combat encounter with John-117, though was defeated by the Spartan.[5]

In-game information

Halo Infinite

In campaign, the Pinpoint Needler is awarded to the player after defeating the High Value Target, Writh Kul. The weapon can be acquired at any Forward Operating Base within the campaign. It exhibits an enhanced ability to track enemy targets and its shards can create a "supercombine" explosion at a lower threshold of numbers embedded in an enemy.[2][3]

Notes

  1. ^ Given that Lodam Armory is a known manufacturer of the Needler, it is likely that the "Lodham Armory" manufacturer mentioned in Halo Encyclopedia (2022 edition) is a misprint.
