Cochineal Pass

Cochineal Pass is a winding mountain pass located outside of Mímir city on Paris IV. When the Covenant invaded Paris IV in 2549, the Patel family attempted to seek refuge inside a tunnel located at Cochineal Pass after they were deterred from reaching Mímir's spaceport.[1] Although the Patels managed to escape the fiery destruction of glassing by reaching the pass's tunnel, their vehicle collided inside with the back of a truck, killing Molly Patel's parents in the crash. Molly was later found in the pass tunnel and the story of her unexpected survival there gained her some fame.[2]
