Cochineal Pass

Cochineal Pass is a winding mountain pass located outside of Mímir city on Paris IV. When the Covenant invaded Paris IV in 2549, the Patel family attempted to seek refuge inside a tunnel located at Cochineal Pass after they were deterred from reaching Mímir's spaceport. Although the Patels managed to escape the fiery destruction of glassing by reaching the pass's tunnel, their vehicle collided inside with the back of a truck, killing Molly Patel's parents in the crash. Molly was later found in the pass tunnel and the story of her unexpected survival there gained her some fame.
