Lieutenant commander

Lieutenant Commander is a commissioned officer rank in the UNSC Navy, equal to the rank of Major in the UNSC Marine Corps.

A Lieutenant Commander is a senior department officer on a large ship or installation. They may also be Commanding Officer (CO) or Executive Officer (XO) (second-in-command) of a smaller ship or installation.
