Chasm is set within a subterranean Forerunner structure bearing distinct resemblance to areas beneath Outpost Tremonius on Installation 07.^[1]

Chasm is based heavily on a specific segment—also called "Chasm" internally—of the Halo Infinite mission Foundation.^[2]
