ONI logo
The symbols of the Office of Naval Intelligence are the primary symbols used to identify the organization and its divisions.
Description
The Seal of the Office of Naval Intelligence superficially resembles a stylized surveillance satellite, but it also represents a pyramid of knowledge with an all-seeing eye and an arrowhead directed to the heavens.[1] Above the center circle reads "UNSC" and at the bottom, in between the edges of the outer circle reads "Office of Naval Intelligence".
The colors of the seal can be inverted on dark surfaces.[2] In some instances, the text is removed from the seal.[3] The seal can be modified to include ONI units[4] or locations.[5]
UNSC derived logo
Another symbol, based on the UNSC's is also occasionally used. Featuring the bird with the globe, the main differences include the globe containing the "all-seeing eye" with triangles and stars surrounding it and the ribbon at the bottom containing the text "Office of Naval Intelligence" in it.[6]
Gallery
On some dark surfaces, an inverted color scheme is used for the logo like with the Transit Box DR44.
A version of the logo was created for Kilo-Five. This version adds in the text "K5" to the center dot of the arrow.
A version of the ONI logo for Ivanoff Station. Note the additional text above the arrowhead design.

Pre-UN founding
Circa 97,445 BCE, humans were returned to Earth and watched as the Portal at Voi was buried. N'chala, one of the those ancient humans left an Out-of-place handprint.[18] Around the 5th Millennium BCE, Egypt was formed.[19] In 480 BCE,[20] 300 soldiers from Sparta defended Greece at Thermopylae[21] from a Persian invasion.[20]
In 1066, the Battle of Hastings took place and in 1415, the Battle of Agincourt took place.[22] In 1759, the Battle of Minden took place. This battle became the namesake for a UNSC starship.[23]
In the 18th-century, the conical bullet was developed[24] and the piezoelectric effect was discovered.[25]
Over the course of the 18th and 19th-centuries, the colonies of Britain diverged socially and economically resulting in a schism. In one case, a war.[26] In 1836,[27] Colonel William Barret Travis and others defended the Alamo.[28]
The American Civil War took place, with tin daguerreotypes that displayed a battlefield with cavalry, cannons and charging men being kept in the Officers' club of the UNSC Gettysburg.[29]
World War II started in 1939.[30] John Forge's family had members fight in World War II.[31] During the war, the British cracked a German encryption scheme.[32] The war came to a close with the first usage of human Nuclear weapons at Nagasaki and Hirshima.[33] Chief Petty Officer McRobb compared the 26th-century Fall of Reach to the attack on Pearl Harbor.[34]
UN era
In 1945, the United Nations was founded. 24 years later, human beings would take their first steps on Luna.[33]
Around the early 2000s, fringe theories on humanity's origins began to emerge. The Society of the Ancients, believed that aliens had helped humanity construct technologies.[36] Dr. Jonas Volman wrote the book The Castaway Theory, that supposedly brings light to issues in human evolution.[37] In 2021, the International Society of Civil Engineers was formed.[38]
The United Nations first established the Unified Earth Government in 2075.[39] Luna, Mars, the Jovian Moons and several asteroids would first be settled by humans in 2080.[40] 2090 and 2103 also saw the ends of large scale conflicts.[41] In the 2100s, the British Houses of Parliament were destroyed in a domestic terrorist act.[42]
In response to the rising Koslovics, the recently formed Friedens bombed an embassy in Thynia, Europa in 2158.[43] This would lead to a nearly 12 year struggle between each other and the United Nations. The Jovian Moons Campaign, Rainforest Wars, Battle of Delambre, Mars Campaign and finally, the Interplanetary War all came from the clashes between these factions.
