The battle

"These are pre-Covenant Sangheili ruins. They were already ancient history before humanity built the pyramids."
Olympia Vale commenting on the ruins in Nuusra.

With the UNSC needing to access to the Guardian at Sunaion, Fireteam Osiris was deployed to Nuusra to meet up with Arbiter Thel 'Vadam.[1] The remnants of Jul 'Mdama's Covenant faction invaded Nuusra in an attempt to assassinate 'Vadam. The Covenant forces were temporarily defeated after a final assault on the Elder Council Chamber.

Fireteam Osiris was then sent to a nearby Forerunner complex to retrieve a Constructor, which was to be used to gain access to Sunaion's Guardian.[2] With the help of the Arbiter's forces, Osiris was able to destroy a Kraken standing in their way. Once inside the Forerunner complex, Osiris retrieved the Constructor, defeating the Promethean forces attempting to stop them.[2]
