Raid on UNSC Argent Moon

The Raid on UNSC Argent Moon was an attempt by the United Nations Space Command to recapture the occupied ONI research vessel UNSC Argent Moon.

Battle

After locating the remains of the station, Master Chief and Blue Team boarded through a window, killing several hostile Elites in the process. Blue team locates and procedes tward the controll room, planning on shutting off life support and decompressing the facility to kill the covenant onboard and return the station to UNSC control. On the way, John is knocked off of a bridge and unconscious by a Hunter. While unconcious John is contacted by Cortana (possibly via the Domain) who in forms him "the reclamation is about to begin" and that he has 3 days to get to Meridain, before he wakes up surrounded by Blue Team, whom he informs of his vision. Putting it off for later, Blue Team proceeds tward the control room. On their way they witness an an entire covenant fleet aproaching the station, and learn they are the survivors of Jul Mdama's forces fleeing from the Battle of Kamchatka after their leader's death, and are planning on invading Sanghelios as a last ditch effort. With too many covenant to deal with, the plant changes to asset denial by scuttling the station. Once they arrive at the station's control room they initiate an overload of the station's reactor. However a failsafe begins circulating coolant into the system to prevent the oveload. Therefore John and Blue team procede to destroy the coolant vents on the station's exterior. With the overload now in progress Kelly atempts to call in the team's Pelican, but after reciving no response from the remote autopilot they conclude it was destroyed and elect to take one of the Station's remaining prowler's instad, since Covenant Banshies were too slow to escape the exploding station in time.

As they prepare to leave, John contacts the UNSC Infinity to inform them of his contact from Cortana and requests reasignment to Meridain. Blue team are shocked as they are denied as "another team is aleady being preped to deal with Cortana." Taking matters into their own hands, they defy the UNSC's orders to return to the Infinity and escape in the Prowler to Meridian as the Argent Moon explodes, possible destroying a number of covenant ships in the process.
