After Bornstellar arrived in Marontik, Riser joined Chakas and the young Forerunner on an expedition to the crater, where Bornstellar found [[The Didact]]'s [[Cryptum]]. Here, thanks to a [[Geas]] implemented by [[The Librarian]] he along with Chakas sang a pre-programmed sound code that opened that activated the Cryptum. This awoke The Didact, whom they later accompanied to [[Janjur Qom]], the [[Prophet]] homeworld, in the hope that it would spark a memory implented by The Librarian that could help The Didact. Here, Riser was imprisoned by the Master Builder along with Chakas and the Didact.

Morning Riser (full name: Day-Chaser Makes Paths Long-stretch Morning Riser), shortened to Riser, was a human living on Earth in approximately 100,000 BCE. He, along with Chakas, was one of Bornstellar's two guides.[1]
