The Warthog Armored Personnel Carrier is a United Rebel Front ground vehicle.
It is an uncommon variant of the standard M12 Warthog LRV and is essentially a standard M12 Warthog, but with a passenger section capable of holding ten passengers bolted between the driver section and the chaingun section.
One was seen in use by the United Rebel Front on the planet Victoria in the 111 Tauri System by the SPARTAN-IIs of Blue Team in a field mission.[1]
It was more or less a warthog cut in two with a armored compartment added between the two ends in a similar fashion to a stretch limo. The passenger section is not well armored, being vulnerable to small arm AP fire and appears to have a roof with a sliding section on it, similar to a sun roof, perhaps for quick loading and covering it's loads.[2]
Trivia
- Contrary to popular belief, it is not transport warthog seen in early Halo 2 renders or the Halo 3 E3 vid. That is the M831 TT warthog.
