Master-crafted by Misriah Armory, the Pattern-2 composite sword is a machete-style melee weapon often issued to UNSC forces deployed to jungle environments. The sword's grip notably includes a thin gel layer similar to that found within MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor, a feature which reduces the shock felt by the user. Pattern-2 composite swords are commonly fielded by Spartans for use in assassinations and melee combat.
