Rise of humanity[edit]
Humanity arrived in the Sweorice system in the 25th-century, settling on the planet Sansar and establishing it as a colony of the UEG in the year 2440.[1]
Human-Covenant war[edit]
The planet was later discovered by the Covenant during the Human-Covenant War. The colony was attacked and glassed by Covenant forces in 2546.[2][1] Afterward, a Covenant presence remained in a derelict station in low orbit. At the outbreak of the Great Schism, Jiralhanae and the Kig-Yar and Unggoy serving them were slaughtered in this facility by the Silent Shadow.[3]
