Unggoy Mules were greatly valued during the Banished's long expeditions on Installation 00, where its perilous terrain made traditional methods of rearmaments virtually impossible.[1] Unggoy Mules were also deployed to Installation 07 during the Battle for Zeta Halo; by May 2560, many Unggoy Mules have scavenged and appropriated UNSC weapons.[2][3]

Unggoy Mules employ a hyperdense battle harness that hold weapon mounts on the back.[1] In combat, they use Rohakadu-pattern plasma pistols, Sicatt Workshop Disruptors, and Anskum-pattern plasma grenades.[3]
