The M11 combat knife is a type of combat knife in use with Spartan Operations.[2][1]
Overview
Design details
Manufactured by Watershed Division, the M11 was designed and built for Spartans. It was constructed with hyper-dense metal alloys, making it nearly unbreakable. When wielded by a Spartan operator, the blade can be thrust with force sufficient to penetrate energy shielding or hardened armor.[1][3]
These blades are extraordinarily sharp and retain their edge even after repeated use. The M11 combat knife is 365.8 millimeters (14.40 in) in length and weighs 2 kilograms (4.4 lb).[1]
Later MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor included personalized sheaths to allow for personalized M11 blades.[3]
History
The M11 first entered service in 2551.[1]
Usage
During Operation: ATHENA in 2558, Gabriel Thorne would use an M11 to attack two Kig-Yar.[4]
Trivia
The M11 combat knife that appears in Halo Infinite[5] is the same model that appears in Halo 5: Guardians.[6]
