A submachine gun, abbreviated SMG, is a magazine-fed, automatic gun designed fire pistol cartridge.
Submachine gun may refer to the following:
UNSC
- M7 SMG- The M7/Caseless Submachine Gun[1] (M7/SMG) is a personal defense weapon developed and manufactured by Misriah Armory. It is commonly used by infantry, special forces, and vehicle crews of the UNSC Armed Forces. A suppressed version of the weapon, the M7S SMG, is often issued to special operations personnel.[2][3]
- M20 SMG- The M20/Personal Defense Weapon (M20/PDW)[4] is the post-Covenant war successor to the M7 SMG.[5]
Covenant
- Type-25 plasma gun- The Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle[6] (T25 DER),[7] more commonly known as the plasma rifle or plasma gun, is a fully automatic rifle, formerly serving as a Covenant infantry weapon.
- Type-25 Brute plasma gun- The Brute plasma rifle, known as the "blood-hand" or "Brute plasma gun" by Jiralhanae,[4][8] is a modified version of the Covenant's Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle used by the Jiralhanae. Unlike the original, which is manufactured by the Iruiru Armory, the Brutes' variant was designed and produced in secret by High Charity's Sacred Promissory.[9]
- Type-33 needler- The Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher,[6][10] more commonly known as the needler, is a Covenant infantry weapon.
- Type-56 needler- The Type-56 Guided Munitions Launcher (T-56 GML),[11] more commonly known as the Needler, is the post-Covenant War successor to the Type-33 GML.
- Type-25 Spiker- The Type-25 Carbine (T-25 C),[6] more commonly known as the Spiker, Spike Rifle[12] or hatchet gun,[6] is a common Jiralhanae firearm used during the Human-Covenant War.[13]
Forerunner
Z-130 Suppressor - The Z-130 Directed Energy Automatic Weapon (Z-130 DEAW),[14] also called the Suppressor, is a fully automatic Forerunner energy weapon.[15] It is usually utilized by the Prometheans.[16]
