Son of a Gun
Son of Gun is an achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It is unlocked by beating the 18,000 point par score on the level Kizingo Boulevard. The achievement is worth 10 Gamerscore. Though it can theoretically be unlocked on any difficulty, more points are awarded in campaign scoring when playing on higher difficulties.
Tips
Turn on Thunderstorm, Tough Luck and Famine on Normal and try to destroy as much as you can using the Scorpion tank, including the 5 Phantoms before the final firefight area.
Trvia
- The achievement's name is a reference to a quote by Mickey made at the beginning of the level, after almost getting hit by a Wraith shot.[1]
- Before the release of Season 3: Recon, players can earn significant points by destroying unoccupied Covenant vehicles as the game did not differentiate between piloted and empty vehicles; this was patched out of Halo 3: ODST on release of the aforementioned season.
