Pakistan is a country on Earth, located in southern Asia. Pakistan is one of the last Islamic republics remaining on Earth in the 26th century. It has radically modernized itself, however, and is not as harsh a region as it once was.[1]
History
Human-Covenant war

On November 17 during the Battle of Earth, UNSC Marines engaged Covenant forces near Pawa in Sector Six. Though several of the Marines were killed, one was able to determine the trajectory of SPARTAN John-117's descent from the Prophet of Truth's Forerunner keyship.[2] This enabled the UNSC to quickly locate the Spartan, who landed near the border between Tanzania and Kenya.[3]
Other Covenant forces were defeated by UNSC forces near the Pakistani-Afghani border.[1]
