The stasis rifle is a deleted Forerunner weapon in Halo 4, present in the map files. It's a gun that, upon firing, would create a stasis field similar to a pulse grenade, but instead of causing damage, it slows whoever is inside of it. It can also scare Covenant out of turrets, as if it was a harmful projectile.[1]
