The gravity rifle is an unused weapon in Halo: Combat Evolved. The model is still in the game's code, though it does not feature a proper texture, first- person model, or projectile.
Halo: Custom Edition
Though the weapon was deleted from the game, it still exists within the game's code. It is possible to use the gravity rifle in Halo: Custom Edition on certain maps using the devmode command cheat_all_weapons. There is no animation for it being fired, but it will create a bright flash when shot. The weapon produces flames on its target. Despite having no reticule or scope, the weapon is extremely accurate. Also, it has unlimited ammunition, due to it not having a coded magazine.
