Antlion anti-personnel mines[1] are antipersonnel mines placed on the ground, similarly to the namesake insect, which ambushes prey in a similar manner. They are used by the UNSC Defense Force in an anti-infantry role. They are capable of both remote and manual detonation.[2]
Trivia
The Antlion is not to be confused with the TR/9 antipersonnel mine from Halo 3.
