Mountain Squad was a joint formation of the SPARTAN-IV program and UNSC Marine Corps. It was attached to the Template:UNSCship when the ship returned to Requiem in February 2558 during the Second Battle of Requiem.
History
At some point during the battle, Mountain Squad was ordered to investigate a mysterious signal discovered by Galileo Base. However, their Pelican was shot down just as they approached their objective, an area codenamed "Two Giants", and they were immediately under Covenant attack. In addition, The Covenant in the area had set up jammers to prevent them from contacting the Infinity. SPARTAN-IV Fireteam Crimson was dispatched into Two Giants to rescue and assist Mountain Squad. Together, the two units continued the mission. However, all members of Mountain Squad were killed before completing the objective, prompting Crimson to investigate the structures alone.[1]
