==Roland's 20th-century precedent/predecessor== | |||
Shouldn't there be a wikipedia link in the article's trivia section for his 20th-century precedent of his avatar, because right now I have no idea what pilot by the name of Roland flew in what war. I know (or at least I think) we had a link before, I just don't know why the link didn't get carried over in the newer revisions of the article. So, in light of this, could this little issue be addressed? --<span style="color:Black; font-family: Halo;">Xamikaze330</span> <small>[<font color="Blue">Transmission</font>|<font color="Green">Commencing</font>]</small> 15:28, 23 January 2014 (EST)Xamikaze330 |

Episode 4
Can I just say I was thoroughly entertained by Roland's part in Chapter 3 of this Episode. File:Colonel Grade One.pngCol. Snipes450File:Colonel Grade One.png 17:41, 26 November 2012 (EST)
Generation Notion
Just a bit of speculation, but perhaps Roland is based on the third-gen smart AI template. Halsey was partly responsible for the third-gen's creation, and could have implanted the "undid-iridium" failsafe in the core programming of a great many AIs in this way. ASniper (talk) 14:12, 11 October 2013 (EDT)
- Even if he's not a third-gen, it's possible that the subsequent generations have large swaths of code copied directly from gen-3; I doubt they'd start from the ground up when programming them, and Halsey could've hidden the failsafe somewhere in the C-PIE coding in a way that no one else would even notice. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 23:49, 14 October 2013 (EDT)
- Re-using the same code, instead of it being the exact same code, might also account for why Roland was able to break it. Halsey didn't seem to be expecting that. Spartan 501
Quotes Page
This article would also benefit from a quotes page. I will try to get to it when I can, which is probably in the very near future, unless someone else wants to beat me to it. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 17:13, 25 November 2013 (EST)Xamikaze330
